The Harmain train administration has asked passengers to
make online bookings for the Harmain train from next Monday.
The train will resume operations on Wednesday, March 31. Note
that the service was suspended on March 21, 2020 to prevent the spread of the
new corona virus.
According to Al Arabiya Net, the management of Harmain
Express train has asked the passengers to make online booking from next Monday.
Travel tickets will be available from Makkah, Madinah,
King Abdullah Economic City and Jeddah's King Adalaz International Airport.
The Harmain Express train project in Saudi Arabia is the
largest public transport project in the Middle East and the sixth in the world. It
has been developed with the help of the latest technology at a cost of 60
billion riyals.
The Saudi government has provided the Harmain Express train
service for the convenience of Hajj and Umrah pilgrims, locals and expatriates.
The journey from Makkah to Madinah takes two hours. The
distance between the two holy cities is 450 km and trains run at a speed of 300
km per hour.
The railway service were suspended on march 21, 2020 due to coronavirus pandemic.
