The Saudi Civil Aviation Department has said that foreigners coming to Saudi Arabia in the exempt categories will have to present a PCR certificate to those who receive the corona vaccine and those without the vaccine. This certificate should not be more than 72 hours old from the flight.

According to the Saudi news agency SPA, the Civil Aviation Department has informed all airlines operating from Saudi Arabian airports about the ban. The decision comes in the wake of a new Interior Ministry statement.

The Department of Civil Aviation said in a statement that institutional quarantine would be imposed on non-vaccinated and foreign travelers from countries from which travel has not been banned. They will be quarantined at their expense, which will be included in the ticket. They must have an effective health insurance scheme covering the risks posed by the Covid 19 virus.

The Civil Aviation Department has asked airlines to make it mandatory for all foreign passengers, vaccinators in non-vaccinated categories and non-vaccinators to obtain PCR. This certificate should not be more than 72 hours old from the time of travel. The PCR is for children over the age of 8, while vaccinated foreigners and those in all the vaccine-exempt categories of any of the vaccines approved by the Ministry of Health will be exempt from quarantine restrictions, provided they Submit official vaccine certificate before and after arrival in Saudi Arabia.

The Department of Civil Aviation has banned all airlines from entering into accommodation agreements with hotels and accommodation centers approved by the Ministry of Tourism for foreigners who are to be quarantined and those who are in the exempt categories who must be quarantined for seven days. ۔ He will be discharged from the quarantine on the sixth day of the quarantine test.

The Civil Aviation Department said the restrictions would take effect on Thursday, May 20, 2021.
