The Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) says that a large number of rapid antigen tests have tested positive for passengers traveling to Pakistan from abroad, especially from some Gulf countries. The investigation revealed that the passengers were traveling on a fake PCR test.

In a letter written to various airlines by Civil Aviation available to Urdu News, it has been said that under SOPs, passengers have negative PCR tests but rapid antigen tests are positive.

The investigation revealed that the passengers traveled on a fake PCR test. In doing so, they have not only endangered the lives of their fellow passengers, but also damaged national efforts to control the epidemic.

The Civil Aviation Authority has said that prevention of corona virus and implementation of national efforts in this regard is the joint responsibility of all concerned stakeholders, including airlines.

For this reason, the competent authority has decided that all airlines operating flights to or from Pakistan will now ensure that passengers have corona-negative test reports from government-approved laboratories.

All test reports should have a QR code which can be used to verify that the report is negative and in the name of the passenger concerned. A photocopy of the Corona test report will not be accepted. Passengers who are not registered on the 'Pass Track ' app will not be allowed to travel to Pakistan.

The Civil Aviation Authority has directed all airlines to ensure compliance with these SOPs otherwise the authority may impose fines against the violating airlines which will not be limited to financial fines but also flights. Can also be suspended.

A letter written by Country Manager Pakistan International Airlines Oman Muhammad Arif to the Pakistan Embassy and other agencies said that now passengers coming to Pakistan from Oman will not be issued boarding passes until they have passed the test. The Omani Ministry of Health will not be stamped.

The letter available to Urdu News said that Pakistani authorities have observed that most of the passengers arriving in Pakistan from Oman in the last few days are coming back with rapid antigen tests.

The NCOC and health ministry officials have expressed grave concern over the situation and a record of positive airline cases is being compiled.

The letter states that Pakistani authorities now intend to suspend flights, impose fines or impose penalties through the Civil Aviation Authority.

It has also been reported that despite the Corona PCR test report being negative, his rapid antigen tests have been positive. One possible reason is a fake negative test report.

The PIA has informed the concerned authorities and agencies that in the light of the decisions of the NCOC and to avoid a serious situation, it has been decided that the corona test report must be verified by the local Ministry of Health from today.

No boarding pass will be issued to any passenger whose Corona test report is not stamped by the Ministry of Health.

All authorities should inform passengers to get their Corona test report verified by the Ministry of Health and registration on the mobile app pass track before arriving at the airport.
