Saudi Arabia's new 'Qiwa' service aims to create a more attractive investment climate in the kingdom and improve the quality of services provided by public and private agencies.

According to Arab News, the platform of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD) provides services to enhance e-services for the labor sector, make the market more competitive and increase productivity in the private sector as per Saudi Vision 2030. 


The e-platform consolidates manpower services in a digital location. This will not only make it easier for foreign workers in the private sector to access their contracts, but will also help them move from one employer to another at the end of their existing contracts.

Investors will be able to complete transactions related to the issuance of business, professional and temporary visit visas and women's visas, Dr. Osama al-Obeidi, a law professor at the Institute of Public Administration in Riyadh, told Arab News Saudi Vision 2030 will increase transparency and cooperation between the public and private sectors to promote the labor market.


Al-Obeidi added that the services offered include monthly reports that can improve compliance with labor laws and regulations to promote communication between employers and the Ministry of Human Resources.

It notifies any business issued by the Ministry to avoid changes, violations, defects or failure to comply with the rules and regulations.

This platform is an important step for the ministry to accelerate the decision-making process to leverage the growth and development of new and existing businesses and to attract foreign investment, Al-Obeidi said.

A strong platform works to attract and encourage national and foreign investment, and emphasizes partnership between the public and private sectors, Dr. Majid al-Hidayan, a legal and corporate affairs expert, told Arab News. The goal is to achieve the diversity goals under Vision 2030.




Qawi's e-consultancy services include an interactive dashboard showcasing business indicators including average wages, employment rates and job stability.
